The problem

Five boards, one resume,
too many tabs.

I was checking five boards a day and re-tailoring the same resume by hand. Every tool that offered to automate this wanted to rewrite my resume from scratch, which is how people end up interviewing for a resume they didn't write.

What I considered

LinkedIn alone
Noisy. The adapter is kept off by default.

A Notion tracker
No discovery. It only tracks what I already found.

No resume matching, no control over sources.

Key decisions

Four tradeoffs that shaped it.

The fact inventory is the whole product
Every edit is checked against skills, tools, companies, and metrics pulled from the master file. If a fact isn't in the inventory, the edit is rejected.

Firebase plus Cloud Run in one region
To keep the free tier and cold starts predictable.

A Python service with python-docx and LibreOffice
So every generated resume keeps the master file's exact formatting.

Claude API server-side only
So keys never reach the client.
Outcome

What changed.

One feed instead of five tabs. Every application is tracked with its matched resume version, and prep notes are attached to each interview. I apply to fewer roles than before and hear back more often.
